Why do bible study?

It's important to study the Bible because God's Word guides you in the right direction of life. Illuminate the path ahead of you so you can clearly see which path to take. The Bible is the best-selling book in the world, it has been translated into more than 200 languages and is the fundamental text of Western civilization. When we look at the transformation of life that this book has had on a global scale, our attention should be maximum.

involves thinking paragraph by paragraph, section by section and seeing how everything fits into the general structure and flow of the book. The Bible is available for us to learn not only on an intellectual level, but also on a personal and emotional level. In addition, the recent increase in hostile criticism of the Bible itself and religion in general also makes it worthy of study.

One of my mentors, who has become a very dear friend, Samuel Brengle (1860-193), explains the importance of Bible study and gives eight benefits to those who do it. That said, Bible study can also be a dry cultural context that can be confusing, and the lack of vitality in part of the text can be exhausting to bear. Considering that the Bible is important to the three major religions of the world: Judaism, Christianity and Islam, it is worth studying.
